Mount Khashchal 

Khashchal peak is located in the north east of Qazvin city and Alamut valley, altitude of 3910m. Exist of Ovan lake and historical Zarabad village near this peak make one of the most beautiful peak in Iran to see. It has two different faces, West face and East face. Two climbing routs exist on this peak .The most popular is: 

    1.    South rout (popular rout)

Start of climbing from: Varbon village (1910 m) in Alamut

Nearest city: Qazvin (1360 m)

Tehran to Varbon: 210 km 

End of climbing: Varbon village 

Climbing duration: 8 hours from village to shelter in first day , 5 hours from shelter to peak, 6 hours from peak to village in second day
